    Jimmie Athletics

The Jimmies have a strong athletic tradition.

We recruit students from everywhere and offer the most varsity sports of any North Dakota college.

It’s not just about competing, though, it’s about building relationships between the community and campus.

Our new Nelson Family Bubble covers a brand new turf field for practice and games indoors. The Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Football Stadium is newly renovated, and the Harold Newman Arena is second to none! With facilities like these, it's a great day to be a Jimmie!

University of Jamestown offers numerous athletic programs. We have both varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as opportunities for clubs, sports, and intramurals.

The University of Jamestown has 21 varsity sports. We're very lucky that we have a wide variety of sports but we're also very proud of the level that we compete at.

We also offer intramurals if you're not a student-athlete used to get that opportunity to go be competitive, whether that be basketball, volleyball, or even different events whether we're having a cornhole tournament on the weekend or something like that.

A big advantage of coming here and playing is the small town feeling you have a lot of people that support you they know you it was really nice to have.

The facilities here at the University of Jamestown, I think are some of the best in the NAIA some of the best in the GPAC.

Playing in these other gyms -- it just -- it's hard for them to compete with the Newman. The Newmen is my favorite spot being a basketball player.

Jack Brown Stadium is a special place for baseball. It has a great history. Our weight room is one of the best in the country.

You get the best facilities. You got the best coaches. You're not just a part of one team. You're part of one big family. You know the other teams are coming to your games and supporting you. This will be my fourth year on the basketball team and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
