One of the great things about campus is there's a way for everyone to get involved. You really get to pick and choose what interests you.
So we have lots of clubs and organizations, a few of them, coordinate with your academic department. So we have the Science club, we have the Wildlife Society, we have the Engineering department, and they all focus on something different. So you're welcome to join any of them.
But if you want to start your own, then you have the flexibility to do that. The university supports you and gives you, you know, funding and rooms and all the resources you would need. Some of the events we do, we do succulent planting, and we host bingo nights, we have a fun Casino Night, we do with the hypnotist, the comedians, all the live performers, we do a lot of painting and crafts, we'll have a farmers market coming up on campus. So it really ranges from low-key stop-and-go stuff during the day to these very large community spread events.
We were founded on Christian tradition in 1883 by the Presbyterians and it's been very important throughout the history of UJ, to carry on that Christian tradition. And so we have a lot of students really intimately involved in campus ministry, and they are building their faith, and they're building community with one another, and then serving that community in the way that God's given them, the gifts and talents to do.
My favorite thing about campus ministry is just the way that I've been able to grow in the program since I've been a part of it in my faith. And it's given me a community and basically, all of my friends so I'm just thankful for the community that it's given me in the support system that campus ministry has provided over the years.
There's something here for everyone, and I just want students to know that so we're going to do something at least weekly. We're going to have major events at least once a month. And so if they're looking for it, they're gonna find it here.
