Hi, my name is Ruben Zepeda. I'm an international student from Mexico, a member of the soccer team, and a mechanical engineering major at the University of Jamestown. I want to show you how a typical day in my life looks. Vamanos.
My day normally starts going to Sorkness Center for either an engineering class or a lab. Sorkness Center houses all the engineering classes, faculty offices, and also labs. So as a senior this year, I'm going to be spending a lot of hours in this lab. It's called a Senior Design Lab and I'm going to be working on my capstone project here. This is in fact, one of the newest labs in North Dakota, which is pretty exciting. Around here we have mills, lathes, CNC machines, brass cutters, we have welding stations too. And as a student is really exciting to use all that theory that we learn in the classrooms and put it into an actual real world application. While I'm in Sorkness I normally stop by my professors offices for career advice, for class advising, and also for class questions. They're really open to dialogue, and they're a really caring faculty. Hi!

Good. I just have a couple questions.
I'm from Mexico, where the weather is really different. But coming to North Dakota, experiencing the weather and getting used to it, it wasn't actually that hard. In fact, when snow comes, and it covers campus, it's really, really beautiful. We have really nice athletic facilities in general at the University of Jamestown, but personally I spend most of my time practicing and playing soccer. Right now it looks like football is about a start practice.
I come to the library almost every single day to work on homework and assignments, especially because most of my classes require extra research. And most of the sources can be found here in the library. Hi, I have a couple questions in referencing. Thank you. The library also has really comfortable rest areas which are really nice for napping. I've taken a couple here. My day normally ends after soccer practice when I come back to my dorm where I hang out with my friends, get some downtime, and then go to sleep.
